2 Months of Intensive Coding Classes For Students in JSS 3 And SSS 3 | 2023

We are in a world that is fast embracing a new world of high-end technology inventions and many career paths, yet untapped. Many years ago, every parent and their kids would want to be a medical Doctor, an Engineer, a Lawyer, Architect, or Professor in the academic field. Now, there is a very exponential shift in the tech space in the last five years. Parents now want their kids to study courses like Computer science, Computer engineering, Software engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, Cyber Security, and Product Management.

These things are changing because the future of work is technology, and the future is here upon us as your read this blog post. This is why Codeant Technology Hub thought it wise to engage your kids this summer break, mostly students in Nigeria.

Please, do not misunderstand us, we are not saying that the former professional courses I mentioned are not relevant again. Moreover, they are still thriving and will ever be. What will our world look like without a medical doctor or a lawyer? The honest answer will always be chaotic and surreal.

So, we will look into what Codeant has for students in JSS 3 and SS3 this period they will be on a long break. Honestly, if I was able to get this kind of opportunity then I would have jumped on it.

Here on this blog page, you will get to know some facts about coding or programming, get to know the benefits of enrolling your kids in this our 2 months of intensive coding classes for students in JSS 3 and SSS 3.

What is Coding or Programming?

Coding, also known as programming, refers to the process of creating instructions or sets of commands for a computer to follow. It involves writing code using programming languages to develop software, websites, applications, and other technological solutions.

Coding enables computers to perform specific tasks or actions by providing step-by-step instructions.

Programming languages, such as Python, Java, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, are used to write code. Each programming language has its syntax and rules that govern how the instructions are written and interpreted by the computer.

Coding is essential for creating software and technology that powers our modern world. It involves problem-solving, logical thinking, and creativity.

Programmers write code to solve problems, automate tasks, manipulate data, build algorithms, and create interactive experiences.

Fundamental Procedures in Coding

The process of coding typically involves several steps:

  1. Understanding the problem: The coder needs to identify the problem or task they want to solve or accomplish. This could involve developing a new software application, designing a website, or creating a game.
  2. Planning and designing: Before writing code, it’s important to plan and design the solution. This includes determining the structure, functionality, and user interface of the software or application.
  3. Writing code: The coder then writes code using a programming language. They create a series of instructions that the computer will execute to achieve the desired outcome. The code is written using a text editor or an integrated development environment (IDE).
  4. Testing and debugging: Once the code is written, it needs to be tested to ensure that it works correctly and produces the desired results. Debugging involves identifying and fixing any errors or bugs in the code.
  5. Deploying and maintaining: After successful testing, the code is deployed and made available for users. Programmers often continue to maintain and update the code to improve functionality, fix bugs, and add new features as needed.

Learning to code can open up numerous opportunities in various fields, including software development, web development, data science, artificial intelligence, and robotics. It equips individuals with problem-solving skills, computational thinking, and the ability to create innovative solutions using technology.

Why JSS 3 and SSS 3 Students Alone for The Coding Classes?

Why we chose students in the JSS 3 and SSS 3 is because they will be on a long vacation and some of them may not engage these few months in meaningful activities that will propel their careers. So, they will be engaged in core coding within in this period of break.

Also, they have time to learn with patience and knowing that coding is not a one-off activity. There is also a high interest of tech among these level groups when they are not busy with anything meaningful.

So, it is important that they be channeled into the right path and from the best platform because of the experience and emotional intelligence of the instructors.

What Makes Codeant Technology The Right Platform for Kids learning coding?

We have been around in this field for 5 years and counting and the success story has been shared across the geographical location of our operations in Nigeria and Online. Codeant has close the gap in tech inclusion for kids and teenagers in the southeast through consistent coding and robotics classes with several schools.

Also, with the Summer and Easter coding and robotics bootcamps, we create an enabling platform where kids will replicate the codes they have learnt. A lot of them presented their projects on Scratch Programming and Microbit on the demo days.

The amazing thing is that parents were so happy about what their kids could do in a short time.

Codeant has also partnered with top companies and organizations in tech in the city of Owerri and other cities in Nigeria teaching kids and teenagers coding and robotics.

All about the coding classes

As I said earlier, this coding class is only for JSS 3 and SSS 3 students who will be free by the time of this class.

It is also geared at teaching your kids relevant skills for the future. Technology is everywhere and in every field of study and work.

So the program is not to make them programmers entirely but to equip them with the requisite in-demand skill for now, paving the way for innovation in every sector.

We are also passionate about quality parenting and raising moral children that will impact the society positively.

We also have great empathy and intelligence when dealing with kids who are physically challenged. So, we create the environment in a way your kids would love to be in.

Our Webinar on Digital Parenting

Moreso, we have a platform where we educate parents and kids on technology generally. Our maiden webinar focus was on good digital parenting. A topic where we educated the parents on how to guide their kids on the use of technology and career path in tech.

You can still look at the resources for the last webinar HERE.
